The Ontario Worker Co-op Federation (OWCF) helps in the development of new and existing worker co-ops. It also lobbies governments on behalf of established worker co-ops, and disburses information about the benefits and goals of co-operatively owned businesses. The OWCF was incorporated September 22, 1992 as a co-op without share capital. It is an accredited regional federation of the Canadian Worker Co-op Federation and a member of the Ontario Co-operative Association.

OWCF Mission

Development:
Start new worker co-ops and support existing co-ops by pooling resources, encouraging leadership, duplicating successful models and providing start-up expertise and capital.

Education and Lobbying:
Educate politicians, bureaucrats, the public, and potential worker co-op members about the benefits and values of worker co-operatives.

Networking:
Share information among worker co-ops to generate a network which links co-ops and creates a united voice, co-coordinated ideas and collective actions.

Raison D'Etre:
To work together to support and facilitate worker co-op development.
